Teglia Pizza is a small pizza al taglio shop in Govanhill, doing things the way Roman pizza bakeries do.
Our story
In Rome, pizza al taglio means pizza "by the cut". It's baked in large rectangular trays called teglie, then sliced to whatever size you want and sold by the piece. It's quick, casual and made to be eaten on the move.
We wanted Glasgow to have that too. So we bake our trays through the day and top them with good ingredients, from classic margherita and salami to potato and rosemary, vodka sauce, and specials like courgette with sesame and mint.
The slices are the main thing we do, but our round pizzas have their own fans, and there are desserts in the fridge as well.
What we care about
Generous toppings, but never at the expense of a crisp, light base that holds up in your hand.
We keep the classics on and add combinations you won't see in other pizza shops, like our Negombo Pizza, which mixes Sri Lankan and Italian flavours.

Best Roman style pizza in Glasgow. Baked Pizza Al Taglio - esque. Quite tight inside but it's quick food so you won't be long anyway. The round pizzas are surprisingly good even though the slices are their bread and butter. Don't skip the desserts either!

These are fabulous! We bought all the slices as a pizza tasting menu and there are no weak links. The toppings are generous and high quality but not to the detriment of the crispy base. The tomato sauce is on point - not too sharp nor too sweet. Also the people are really nice which is always a big plus. A real friendly team.

Delicious vegan pizza and good service. The staff are kind and sorted an issue with my order super quickly and efficiently, even though it was a really busy night! There were multiple vegan options and I was able to add vegan cheese.
